Location, i hear you ask? That's pretty general, isn't it? Sure, but location has a lot of different things. At most general level, many urban condos are located in the heart of cities. However if you break it down further - say within biking or walking distance - urban condos are near bars and restaurants, sporting events, theaters along with other arts, the bus. Unlike some of my suburban friends, I don't have to get behind the wheel to experience almost any cultural or sports event I want.
While my job entails plenty of driving into and out of the city, there are many people who decide to live without cars. They are able to do so since their condo if near the place they work. People who work at home may just have to walk on the hallway to get at their desks; individuals who have condos near their office take pleasure in the next best thing. Oftentimes, they can walk to the office and avoid the hassles associated with driving and parking. If they want to go back home and have lunch, they've the option. Simultaneously, if they wish to go for happy hour or dinner in the evening, there probably are multiple options in seconds of their office or their condo.
Another facet of condo locations I like is that people often arrived at where I'm. Given my condo is really close to the activities people enjoy, they drive in to the city and deal with parking. I simply meet them at the restaurant or stadium. And when it's time to head home, I have a few-minute walk before me, while my pals have to get inside their cars and drive for around a few minutes.
Finally, shopping. As i am not really a big shopper myself, the options within walking distance are nearly endless. There are department stores and retailers carrying brands of clothing and residential ware that everyone would recognize, to small, independent shops to get things you can't get anywhere else. If I need a last-minute gift for an individual, or have been with the perfect gift for months, I most likely simply have to take a walk to go obtain it.
As I said earlier within the article, all of us have reasons for living in condos. Although location tops their email list for me, I could go on and on about why I enjoy it. But that is a topic for another day.
